FST® Flight SimulationTraining

The basis of the Flight Simulation Training (FST®) programs at Roger Aviation is the use of LOFT (Line Oriented Flight Training) lessons to accurately reproduce real-world situations and emergencies in an FAA qualified Level 3 Flight Training Device. LOFT lessons are designed as cross country flights which include abnormal flight conditions that progress in real time with little interruption from the instructor.

The concept behind LOFT is that the pilot will learn more effectively from direct, realistic experiences. As a result, the effects of the pilot's decisions are compounded and strongly influence the outcome of the flight. LOFT, however, is "no jeopardy" training and the pilot is not issued a passing or failing grade based on his decisions or performance. The pilot learns from the decisions made and can evaluate and critique his or her performance during an audio/video debriefing session with the instructor.

All training at Roger Aviation is conducted on a one-on-one basis. All training is standardized and our instructors work with each pilot individually to ensure that any special needs are met. While certain core subjects are covered, flexibility in the course structure allows individuals to progress at their own pace.
